122-year heat record broken in April, rising temperature in North West and Central India: IMD

Weather Update: According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the average maximum temperature over North West and Central India for the month of April this year has been the highest in the last 122 years. India Meteorological Department (IMD) Director General Mrityunjay Mohapatra said that most parts of the country, except a few areas of southern peninsular India, will experience heat even during the night in the month of May.
