39 arrested so far in mass conversion case in Fatehpur, including pastor among the accused

UP News: Sadar Kotwali police has so far arrested 39 people in connection with religious conversion in Fatehpur district of UP. SP Rajesh Singh said that eight cases of conversion have been registered in the district. In five of these cases, the accused have been arrested. Chargesheet has been filed in all. Sadar Kotwali has arrested 26 people, including a priest, in one case and sent them to jail, while the remaining 13 arrests have been made in four cases.

Police has issued notices against 42 people. SP Rajesh Singh said that strict action will be taken against anyone found involved in the conversion case. Taking major action in the matter of mass conversion in the church in the district, till now action has been taken to send three dozen people, including the pastor, to jail. Sadar Kotwali police had registered eight cases in the district in connection with the conversion. Police arrested one accused on Sunday. Succeeded in arresting the youth. SP Rajesh Kumar Singh said that 8 cases of mass conversion and religious conversion were registered in different police stations in the district, in which the accused in five cases have been arrested.

20 accused were already in jail

The SP said that 26 people, including the priest, are already in jail in connection with mass conversion inside the church in Sadar Kotwali. The work of arresting 13 more people and sending them to jail has just been done. In which an absconding accused Johnson Jacob (20) was arrested on Sunday. He told that NBW action has been taken against 42 people registered in Sadar Kotwali. The SP said that these people used to propagate Christianity and convert Dalit, poor, Hindu and Muslim families financially to Christianity. He said that strict action will be taken against those who do such work. will be done.
