74 percent polling in the last phase of Haryana Panchayat elections, the highest turnout in this district

Chandigarh: In the third and final phase of panchayat elections in four districts of Haryana, 74 per cent voters exercised their franchise on Tuesday. This election was conducted to elect the members of Zila Parishad and Block Committee. Officials said polling in Faridabad, Palwal, Hisar and Fatehabad began at 7 am and ended at 6 pm. He told that the polling was peaceful. Under the third and final phase of Haryana Panchayat elections, voting will be held on November 25 for the election of sarpanches and panches of gram panchayats of these four districts.

How much voting took place in which district

According to the data provided by the polling officials at 10.30 pm on Tuesday night, the polling percentage stood at 74 per cent. He said that this is a provisional figure, as the figures are still being compiled. According to officials, Fatehabad recorded the highest voter turnout of 77.6 per cent. 73.7 percent votes were cast in Palwal, 72.6 percent in Faridabad and 72.4 percent in Hisar. Elections have been held for 559 members of Panchayat Samiti and 78 members of Zilla Parishad in 25 mandals of these four districts.

How many voters were there in these districts

More than 22 lakh voters are eligible to vote in these elections. Of these, more than 10 lakh are women. Under the third and final phase, on November 25, voting will be held for the election of sarpanches and panches of gram panchayats of these four districts. In the first two phases, elections have been held for Panch, Sarpanch, Panchayat Samiti members and Zilla Parishad members in 18 districts. The results of the election of members of the Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti will be announced on November 27, while the results of the election of panches and sarpanches are declared on the day itself.
