Ambulift in its 14 airports; AAI will arrange this facility at 20 airports in the first phase. A total of 20 airports have been selected for the ambulift in the first phase. The Airports Authority of India has made arrangements for Ambulifts in 14 of its airports to provide the facility of boarding to the Divyangjans.

1. Ambulifts are capable of carrying six wheelchairs and two stretchers with one attendant at a time.
2. It also has the facility of heating ventilation and air conditioning system.
3. These have been procured at a cost of Rs 63 lakh per unit, but AAI is providing ambulift facility at its airports to airlines at nominal charges.
4. This facility will also help ‘Divyangjan’ at airports where aerobridge facility is not available.
