The Academic Council of Aligarh Muslim University has approved the proposal to appear in the Common University Entrance Test for undergraduate courses for the current academic session. The recommendations of a committee constituted by the Academic Council in December to deliberate on all aspects were accepted. The Vice Chancellor of AMU had sent a detailed letter seeking clarifications on several matters and Additional Secretary (Higher Education), Ministry of Education spoke on the points raised by the University.

Academic Council also discussed in detail and approved the recommendation of Admission Committee for admission and eligibility of various courses for the academic session 2022-23. The meeting was presided over by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Tariq Mansoor. The meeting was attended by Registrar, Controller of Examinations, Deans of Faculties, Principals of Colleges, Heads/Chairs of Departments, Directors of Centers and other Academic Council members.
