After Rohit Sharma, who will take over the command of Team India? Former Indian cricketer told these four names

Parthiv Patel on Team India’s Next Captain: Former India wicketkeeper Parthiv Patel has named four players for the future captaincy of the Indian cricket team. He has included KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant among the contenders to replace Rohit Sharma. Here he has also included Jasprit Bumrah in the list. Parthiv Patel says that Bumrah has all the qualities that a captain should have.

Parthiv Patel says, ‘I think after Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul will be contenders for full time captaincy of India in future. Hardik has won IPL as captain. Staying calm even in the face of pressure is his biggest feature. At the same time, Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul have also been seen captaining in many matches. Both these players will be seen getting better with experience as captains.’

Parthiv Patel also considers Jasprit Bumrah as a contender for captaincy. He says, ‘Bumrah made his debut for Gujarat under my captaincy. I know how he traps the batsman in his setup to take wickets. This shows how accurate he is in taking decisions on the field. Although India lost the Test under his captaincy, he has enough ability to become the captain of the Indian team in future.’

Seven captains in a year
After Virat Kohli left the captaincy of Team India, this responsibility is currently in the hands of Rohit Sharma in all three formats of cricket. He is proving to be a great captain too. In this one year, the Indian team has also tried 5 other captains. These include KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Shikhar Dhawan, Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah. Everyone has also proved their abilities as captains. In such a situation, after Rohit Sharma, India will have a good number of contenders for the captaincy of the Indian team in the future.
