Assam’s cancer hospitals will increase healthcare facilities in Northeast as well as in South Asia: PM Modi

Prime Minister during an event at Khanikar Maidan in Dibrugarh in Assam Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of 7 new cancer hospitals. During this, PM Modi said that cancer patients should not face death, so we have made this preparation.

PM Modi said that cancer hospitals in Assam will enhance health care capacity in Northeast as well as South Asia. He said that earlier a huge financial burden used to fall on poor and middle class families. I thank Sarbananda Sonowal ji, Hemanta ji and Tata Trust for the steps that have been taken here for the last 5-6 years to remove this problem of poor and middle class.

PM Modi said that cancer has been a big problem not only in Assam but in the North East. The most affected by this is our poor, middle class family. Until a few years ago, patients had to go to big cities for cancer treatment.
