At the behest of WHO, changes are being made in the facility of Bharat Biotech, production decreased since February

Some information has been given by the sources of Bharat Biotech regarding vaccine production. In which it has been told that, after getting the EUL from WHO, the UN had to supply the vaccine to other agencies, but no order was received. We supplied the vaccine to India and some countries and did this on Emergency Use Authorization. Bharat Biotech said that, we have fulfilled most of the orders and have prepared some buffer stock for the future.

It has been told from the sources of the company that, the production had started reducing from February, planning had been done about it in advance. Most of the orders have been fulfilled. We have decided to shut down the Ankleshwar facility and some more facilities. At the same time, some will reduce the production of the vaccine because most of the supply has been met and the demand is not that much.

There will be many changes in the lab
Bharat Biotech said that, WHO had visited the facility and after that asked to make some changes under GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) in the facility, all these Changes will be made and it may take 4 to 6 months. It will cost crores of rupees. Each vaccine has a different need. WHO has also visited the vaccine manufacturing site of other Kovid Vaccine Company. No questions have been raised on the safety of the vaccine.
