Azam Khan’s troubles are not decreasing, Sultanpur court sent notice in 8-year-old case

UP News : Former cabinet minister of Uttar Pradesh and SP MLA from Rampur Azam Khan is not taking the name of reducing the difficulties. He has more than five dozen cases registered against him and is currently lodged in Sitapur Jail. The sessions court of Sultanpur has issued a notice to him for a controversial statement made by him eight years ago. Along with this, the court has also given notice to DM Sultanpur. The next hearing in the matter will be held on June 14.

This is the whole matter
Azam Khan had organized a grand event on the birth anniversary of Mulayam Singh Yadav in Johar University. He is accused that when the media persons asked him the details of the expenditure, Azam Khan, who was holding the responsibility of the Ministry of Urban Development at that time, had said that the Taliban organization, Dawood Ibrahim and Abu Salem had received a grant from the fund. His statement was published in newspapers on 22 November 2014. After reading the controversial statement of Azam Khan in the newspaper, Gyanendra Tiwari of Sultanpur filed a complaint in the court.  

6 years later, the complainant challenged the order of the court
Gyanendra, while filing a complaint in the court, had said that this statement of Azam Khan is fatal for the country and society. They were summoned and demanded to be punished. However,  On January 4, 2016, the court of the then ACJM-V had dismissed the complaint. Nearly six years after the complaint was dismissed, Gyanendra has challenged the order in the district judge’s court.

Gyanendra has changed his lawyer in the matter and  Criminal surveillance has been filed in the district court through advocate Santosh Kumar Pandey. He canceled the previous order and demanded a hearing. After this, Sessions Court Judge Rajesh Narayan Mani Tripathi has ordered to send notices to former minister Azam Khan and Sultanpur District Magistrate. The next hearing in the case will be on June 14.
