Bahraich News: A police team in Uttar Pradesh’s Bahraich district, during routine patrolling, was surprised when four 20-year-old ‘cops’ stopped them, claiming to be ‘police identity’. Show letters’ and ask them for money in return for roaming around in suspicious circumstances. The real police patrol arrested the ‘fraudulent cops’ and put them behind bars for harassing the innocent.
The incident is from Vishweshwarganj police station area. Bahraich Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) K.G. Singh said on Sunday that the four arrested have been identified as Ajay Kumar Singh, Satish Kumar Singh, Pintu and Shriram Mishra.
A case has been registered against the four accused under the Extortion and Arms Act. Has been done. Singh said, "We have also recovered a country-made pistol and a fake police identity card from them."
The police officer further said that the relative of one of the accused is in the police department and will be questioned soon. Singh said that the four accused stopped two people on a bike near Vishweshwarganj intersection for not wearing helmets and then stopped two other passengers.
The ASP said, "Meanwhile, a police patrol unit, which was removing encroachments, reached the spot and asked them to show their identity cards. In response, the youths accused the team and asked them to show their identity cards. On this, the patrolling unit nabbed the youths and took them to Vishweshwarganj police station."
