BCCI sacks Chetan Sharma-led senior national selection committee

BCCI Sacks Selection Committee: The BCCI has taken a big step after the humiliating defeat in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Friday (18 November) sacked the senior national selection committee headed by Chetan Sharma. BCCI has posted on Twitter inviting applications for the post of national selectors. 

BCCI said in the statement that, "Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) invites applications for the post of National Selectors (Senior Men). Candidates who wish to apply for the said post must fulfill the following criteria for their application to be considered."

Application sought by November 28

The statement further stated that, "Any person who has been a member of any Cricket Committee (as defined in the Rules and Regulations of the BCCI) for a total of 5 years shall not be eligible to become a member of the Men’s Selection Committee. Applications should be submitted by 6 PM on November 28, 2022."
