Bharat Jodo Yatra: Posters of Savarkar put up in Burhanpur, Hindu organizations protest against Rahul Gandhi

MP News: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra will reach Burhanpur on 23 November. Even before this, Hindu organizations in Burhanpur have protested against Rahul Gandhi’s statement about Veer Savarkar. Hindu organizations have also given an application to file an FIR against Rahul after reaching the Kotwali police station of Burhanpur. Activists of Hindu organization gathered at Kamal Talkies Tirahe and protested against Rahul Gandhi’s controversial statement on Veer Savarkar. 

A poster of Veer Savarkar in Burhanpur has become a matter of discussion. Although no one has the information about who put up this poster. The poster has a picture of Veer Savarkar and Rahul Gandhi, in which the lines made by BJP leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee about Savarkar are mentioned. Along with this, it has also been asked in the poster that if Savarkar means this, then what does Rahul mean? A poster taunting Rahul Gandhi has been put up in Burhanpur city.

‘Apologise Rahul Gandhi’
Hindu Jagran Manch District President Priyank Singh challenged Rahul Gandhi and said, "The dungeon in which Veer Savarkar was sentenced to black water and spent 27 years in jail. Tell Rahul Gandhi by spending only 1 day in that dungeon." On the other hand, Dinesh Sugandhi of Hindu Mahasabha said, "Rahul Gandhi has done the work of inciting public sentiments by making indecent remarks on Veer Savarkar, for which the people of India will never forgive him." Bhushan Pathak said that in Maharashtra, Rahul Gandhi tarnished the image of Veer Savarkar and transmitted wrong facts, for which he should apologize to the whole country.

Congress leader and co-coordinator of Bharat Jodo Yatra Durgesh Sharma informed the police administration through a letter that if these hoardings are not removed, Congress workers will remove them.

Demand for FIR
After protesting, all Hindu organizations reached City Kotwali police station and requested the police administration to file an immediate FIR against Rahul Gandhi. Here, taking objection to the poster, Congress has also demanded action against those who put up the poster. 

Congress leader Ajay Raghuvanshi says that what Rahul Gandhi has said is recorded in history. How can it be denied. Action should be taken against whoever has opposed the yatra by putting up posters. At present, the top police officials are avoiding saying anything in this matter.
