Booster dose of Corbevax recommended for people receiving Covishield, Covaccine vaccine

Corbevax Booster Dose: NTAGI recommends Corbevax as a booster for people over 18 years of age with Covishield, the vaccine vaccine. Corbevax is India’s first indigenously developed Receptor Binding Domain (RBD) Protein Sub-Unit Vaccine for COVID-19. According to sources, the Kovid-19 Working Group of the National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization (NTAGI) has made this recommendation.

Currently, the Kovid-19 vaccine that has been used for the first and second doses is being given as a precaution to all people 18 years of age and above. Over 4.13 crore precautionary doses have been given in the age group of 18-59, while more than 5.11 crore precautionary doses have been given to people aged 60 years and above, health workers and frontline workers. India started giving a precautionary dose of vaccines to health workers, frontline workers and people aged 60 and above from January 10.
