Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II will be cremated today, these special preparations have been made

Queen Elizabeth II Funeral: Queen Elizabeth II will be cremated at Westminster Abbey in London this morning. There is an atmosphere of mourning across Britain due to the death of the Queen. Large screens have been set up in many UK parks to broadcast state funerals so that people there can see the last of their Queen’s last visit. 

How will the Queen’s funeral be held?
Britain’s first state funeral in the last 57 years will be under strict protocol and military tradition, for which practice has been going on for several days. The Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) said Monday has been declared a public holiday in the UK and several public places have been marked in London as crowds gather for funerals.

The department said that community groups, clubs, other organizations, apart from common people in homes are being asked to observe a minute’s silence at 8 pm on Sunday night to show respect to the late Queen at the national level.

What preparations have been made for the funeral?
DCMS said in London’s Hyde Park, Sheffield’s Cathedral Square, Birmingham’s Centenary Square, Carlisle’s Bites Park, Edinburgh title="Holi" href="https://www.abplive.com/topic/holi-2022" data-type="interlinkingkeywords">HoliMassive screens will be installed across the country, including at Rood Park and Coleraine Town Hall in Northern Ireland. It said cinemas across the UK were also making preparations to host funeral events.

500 leaders from around the world will attend
About 500 world leaders, including members of the royal family from around the world, will attend the Queen’s funeral. The royal coffin will be taken in procession from Westminster Hall in the Palace of Westminster to Westminster Abbey where funeral rites will begin at 11 a.m. and end about an hour later with two minutes of national silence.
