The notification for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test 2022 may be issued soon by the Central Board of Secondary Education. This exam is conducted twice a year. This year the exam will be held in July and in December. CBSE will soon issue notification for the examination to be held in July.

This exam determines the eligibility of candidates to teach from class 1 to class 8 in schools authorized by the central government. Candidates should start their preparation for this examination which is going to be held in July. Talking about the pattern of the exam, it is divided into two parts, Paper 1 and Paper 2. The candidates, who want to apply for teaching only class 1 to class 5, will have to appear in paper 1, whereas for class 5. Candidates applying to teach classes 6 to 8 will have to appear for Paper 2. If one wants to fill the application for class 1 to class 8, then he/she has to appear in both the papers.

Each paper will have 150 multiple choice questions.  For every correct answer, one mark will be given to the candidate. While there will be no negative marking for wrong answer.  Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be provided to the candidates for 2.5 hours each.  Paper 1 will have five sections. Which includes Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II,  Mathematics, Environmental Studies. At the same time,  Paper 2 will have four parts.  Which will include Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics and Science or Social Studies.
