Chhattisgarh News: Three jump ropers from Chhattisgarh will represent India in the ‘Queen’s Cup Jump Rope Championship 2022’ in Thailand. In fact, Chhattisgarh’s jump ropers Gopash Chandwani, Himanshu Kashyap and Ayush Soni are part of the 75-member Indian contingent participating in the championship. These jump ropers have been selected in the Indian team on the basis of their performance in the Senior National Championships where they won gold medals.
According to a news of Times of India, Chhattisgarh’s trio has been performing consistently well in the national championship for the last eight years. So far, Gopash has won 20 gold, eight silver and seven bronze medals for the state in the national competition. Whereas, Himanshu has won 14 gold, six silver and seven bronze medals. Whereas Ayush has won 14 gold, six silver and seven bronze medals.

Women, children and elders of the village participated in the individual and group sports competition organized by Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club in all 7 blocks of Bastar district. On the initiative of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Chhattisgarh Olympics are being organized from 6 October to 6 January 2023 to keep people connected with the culture of Chhattisgarh and to promote local sports. Under this, 14 types of traditional sports have been included in team and single category, in which people of age group below 18 years, 18 to 40 years and above 40 years are participating.
