China summons US ambassador regarding Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan, said- the price will have to be paid

Nancy Pelosi in Taipei:  Amidst Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan, China’s Vice Foreign Minister Xie Feng summoned US Ambassador to China Nicholas Burns. The ambassador was summoned to protest against the visit of US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan. China insisted that the nature of Nancy’s visit was very vicious and the consequences would be very dire. Xie said that the Chinese side will not sit comfortably. America must pay the price for its mistake.

According to the Global Times, Xie said that China will give a necessary and strong response and "we will show what we are saying", He said the US government should have stopped Pelosi’s dishonest move, but did not do so, which would escalate tensions in the Taiwan Strait and seriously damage Sino-US relations.

According to Xinhua, Xie told Burns, "Taiwan belongs to China, and Taiwan will eventually return to the embrace of the motherland. Chinese people are not afraid of ghosts, pressure and evil."

Please tell that the Chinese army has become active soon after Nancy Pelosi reached Taipei, the capital of Taiwan. Taiwan’s defense ministry said more than 21 Chinese military aircraft took off over the island’s air defense detection area on Tuesday. Chinese military said that it "high alert" and in response to Pelosi’s visit "would launch a series of targeted military actions." The Chinese military announced plans for a series of military exercises in the waters around Taiwan starting Wednesday.

China considers Taiwan as part of its own . Beijing claims that it adheres to the One China Policy and insists that other countries follow it.
