CM Gehlot’s gift to sisters on Rakshabandhan, Rajasthan Roadways buses will not have to pay fare

Raksha Bandhan 2022: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has given a special gift to women on Raksha Bandhan. On the occasion of Rakshabandhan, women will be able to travel free of cost in Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) buses. Chief Minister Gehlot has approved the proposal for free travel. On the day of Rakshabandhan, on Thursday, August 11, women will not have to pay fare for traveling in all classes of Rajasthan Roadways buses. The state government will reimburse the cost of the facility to the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation. The benefit of free travel will be available only in the border of Rajasthan. There will be a charge for traveling in AC and Volvo buses.

Free ticket will be available from 12 midnight on 10th August

Rent will have to be paid on going out of Rajasthan. The benefit of free travel will start from 12 o’clock on the night of 10 August. Women will be able to avail the facility till 11:59 pm on August 11. In addition to the advance ticket, a zero balance ticket will be issued by the bus operator on the day of Rakhi. According to roadways officials, more than 3500 buses are being operated in the state.
