Congress distanced itself from Digvijay Singh’s statement questioning the surgical strike

Jairam Ramesh Tweet: When Congress leader Digvijay Singh once again raised the question regarding the surgical strike on Pakistan, the party distanced itself from him. Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh has said that Digvijay Singh’s statement is personal. Surgical strikes took place even during the UPA government before 2014, Congress has supported and will continue to support every action of the army in the interest of the nation.

Jairam Ramesh has tweeted that the views expressed by senior leader Digvijay Singh today are his personal views and not those of the Congress party. Before 2014, the UPA government had also done surgical strike. The Congress has supported all military actions in the national interest and will support in the future as well. In fact, during the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir, Digvijay Singh in Jammu raised the question on the surgical strike on Pakistan and said whether it was known or not, the evidence was not given.

What did Digvijay Singh say?

Digvijay Singh said that let’s talk about surgical strike that we killed so many people. But there is no proof of this till date.  Apart from this, Digvijay Singh has questioned the central government on many issues. During the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Jammu, Congress leader Digvijay Singh said that the government does not want to take a decision here. Don’t want to solve the problem here. It wants to perpetuate the problem so that films like Kashmir files continue to be made and Hindu-Muslim hatred spread.

The views expressed by senior leader Digvijaya Singh are his own and do not reflect the position of Congress. Surgical strikes were carried out before 2014 by the UPA government. Congress has supported & will continue to support all military actions that are in the national interest.

BJP hits back

Countering this, Gaurav Bhatia said that because of their hatred towards PM Modi, there is no patriotism left in Rahul Gandhi and Digvijay Singh. The Bharat Jodo Yatra of Congress is just an excuse. Actually, these people are working to break India. Gaurav Bhatia said that when our brave army enters the border of Pakistan and kills, then Pakistan feels pain but some people feel pain here too.
