Contractor arrested for building collapse in South Delhi, two laborers died

Delhi Building Collapse: A contractor has been arrested in connection with the death of two people when a building collapsed in South Delhi’s Satya Niketan area. The police gave this information on Friday. He said that the contractor has been identified as Mohammad Rais (46), a resident of Araria district of Bihar.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (South West) Manoj C. said, "On Friday, Raees was arrested by the South West District Police. He was carrying out repair work at building number 173, Satya Niketan, which collapsed on Monday afternoon." Police said that further investigation in the matter is going on. Two laborers were killed, while three others were rescued when a three-storey building collapsed during repair work in Satya Niketan area at around 1.30 pm on Monday."text-align: justify;">Two workers were killed
South Delhi Police’s building suddenly collapsed in the afternoon on April 25, in which many workers were buried. Police said that seven laborers were working in the ongoing repair work in the building, out of which 6 workers were buried under the debris due to the collapse of the building, six laborers were pulled out from the rubble by the rescue team. Out of which four laborers are undergoing treatment in the hospital, the same two laborers have died.
