Observation over the statement
On this statement of Koshyari, there was an uproar in the politics of the state. The Thackeray faction and the NCP accused the Governor of letting down Maharashtra by associating Shivaji with the BJP leader. Since the Shinde faction is running a coalition government with the BJP, its leaders initially kept mum but on Monday Sanjay Gaikwad said Koshyari should be removed from Maharashtra for his remarks. He said that he requests the Center that the person who does not have knowledge of Maharashtra’s history and how the state works, should be sent elsewhere.
Ruckus over Sudhanshu Trivedi’s comment
Chief Minister through Shiv Sena mouthpiece Saamana Eknath Shinde and Devendra Fadnavis’s silence was targeted. Earlier, BJP leader Sudhanshu Trivedi came under fire from his opponents for his statement regarding Shivaji in the Savarkar comment controversy. Trivedi was explaining about the apology culture during the British rule. That’s why he spoke – Chhatrapati Shivaji had written letters five times to Aurangzeb. After this the Thackeray faction and the Congress surrounded him.
