Corona is affecting the minds of school going children and youth, increasing stress

For the last 2 years, Corona is making people sick in different ways. Millions of people in India have been infected with Corona in two years. At the same time, the imprisoned in homes and lockdown during Corona has also had a bad effect on the mental health of the people. Due to Corona, the number of mental patients in the whole world has increased significantly. The corona pandemic has affected people’s lives in many ways. In the era of this epidemic, the business of many people has come to a standstill. There are many people who lost their jobs and are facing financial crisis. 

Mental patients increased by 25 percent in Corona
According to the WHO, 25 percent of cases of anxiety and depression have increased worldwide due to the Kovid-19 epidemic. Loneliness, stress, homelessness and the number of mental diseases have increased significantly among such people. OP Jindal University’s Center for New Economic Studies conducted a survey between December and February, in which doctors, psychologists, psychiatrists, counselors and mental health experts were interviewed. It was found in this survey that corona has made a great impact on the mental health of school going children and youth. At the same time, it has also affected the lives of front line workers and psychiatrists and psychologists.

According to a report by UNICEF, one in every seven children aged 10 to 19 years is suffering from mental problems. Children are facing various problems in this. Some children are facing problems like anxiety, autism, bipolar disorder, conduct disorder, eating disorder, depression and intellectual disability. These problems are varying according to different ages and socio-economic status. The main reason for this is the closure of schools, colleges, less social outing of children, lockdown, isolation and financial changes.
