Haryana Steelers vs Dabang Delhi: In the 90th match of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL), Dabang Delhi defeated Haryana Steelers by a margin of 42-30. Delhi has won for the second consecutive day and has kept alive the hopes of going to the play-offs. With this defeat, the hopes of going to the play-offs for Haryana have reduced slightly. By securing the seventh win of the season, Delhi has made it to the top six.
Delhi took a big lead in the first half itself
In the beginning of the match, both the teams scored points continuously, but in the 10th minute, Haryana got all out. With this, Delhi had taken a 15-7 lead in the match. Delhi’s game was good in the next 10 minutes as well and they were ahead 24-13 by half time. Delhi captain Naveen Kumar, while performing brilliantly, single-handedly scored 12 out of 15 raid points for his team. Haryana’s defense was very poor and the entire team got only three tackle points. Manjeet fought alone in raiding and got five raid points.
Delhi’s performance was good in the second half as well
There was a slight decline in Delhi’s performance in the second half, but despite this, they had a nine-point lead till the end of the first 10 minutes of play. Haryana tried to make a comeback in the next five minutes and sent Delhi close to all out, but Delhi consolidated their lead by super tackling. With five minutes left to play, Delhi had an 11-point lead. Even in the last five minutes, Delhi maintained their good game and won an easy victory.
