Agnipath protests in UP: Massive protests are going on across the country regarding the Agnipath scheme for army recruitment brought by the central government. Agitation of students against the scheme continues in Uttar Pradesh since Thursday. Now political rhetoric has also started in this matter. At the same time, during the Bharat Bandh on Saturday, many opposition leaders are seen with the students in the protest. On the other hand, Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya has targeted the opposition for this protest.

Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya tweeted and wrote, "Prepare to join the youth army with the spirit of service to the country. Recruitment for the Army is starting from June 20, for the Air Force from June 24. Youth should not come under the influence of anyone and damage national and private property. Stop provoking after being rejected by political opponents."

On the other hand RLD chief Jayant Chaudhary is also registering his protest by observing silence at Kisan Ghat. He tweeted and wrote, "Our prayer is that the government should respect the sentiments of the youth and the public. There should be peace in the country, all the members of the farmer labor families should be happy. Jai jawan jai kisan."
