Dhoni’s mantra changed Rituraj Gaikwad’s life, know what he said

Ruturaj Gaikwad on MS Dhoni: Mahendra Singh Dhoni is an icon cricketer. Apart from captaincy and wicketkeeping, he has mastered strategy. Apart from this, Mahi’s biggest specialty was to remain calm during the match no matter how much tension there was on the field. He followed this tradition for years while captaining the Indian team. After this, Dhoni follows the same tradition as the captain of the IPL team Chennai Super Kings. Dhoni did not limit this art to himself, but at present many young players of Team India have learned from him to remain calm in difficult times. Maharashtra opener and captain Rituraj Gaikwad has also learned from MS Dhoni to remain calm and neutral in tough times. He disclosed this during a conversation with former cricketer Aakash Chopra.

Rituraj played a stormy innings

Rituraj played a blistering 220 against Uttar Pradesh in the quarter-finals of the Vijay Hazare Trophy on 28 November. During this, he hit seven consecutive sixes in one over of Shiva Singh. He scored an unbeaten 220 off 159 balls while batting Atishi in the match. Rituraj hit 10 fours and 16 sixes in his innings. He is only the third batsman in the world to hit seven sixes in an over in List A cricket. Talking to Akash Chopra after this brilliant innings, he said that he has learned from Mahendra Singh Dhoni to remain neutral in any situation. He said that Dhoni has taught me how to remain neutral when things are not going your way. He taught that win or lose the team environment should be good.

Rituraj praises Dhoni

Rituraj Gaikwad has been playing for the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL for the past several seasons. He says that when the team loses the match, factions start forming in the team. But Dhoni did not let this happen. He said that after losing the match, everyone used to remain calm for 10-15 minutes. But Dhoni bhai used to come back from the presentation and tell us, relax boys, it happens. During this, the Maharashtra captain also told how Dhoni used to keep the meeting time short. He used to say that it is not possible to win every match.
