Display of ‘Made in India’ stock before January 26, power of these weapons seen at India Gate

Made in India Weapons Showcase Ahead Republic Day 2023: Before Republic Day 2023, India-made weapons were displayed at the India Gate in the national capital Delhi. The Indian-made Akash Air Defense Missile System and the BrahMos supersonic missile were among the weapons displayed by the Indian Army on Tuesday (January 24). 

The weapons on display included K-9 Vajra howitzer, MBT Arjun, Nag anti-tank guided missile, BrahMos supersonic cruise missile, Akash air defense missile system and quick reaction fighting vehicle.

Lt. Chetna Sharma gave this information

According to the news agency ANI, Lieutenant Chetna Sharma said that the weapon system has been completely configured on the mobile platform. He said, “The Akash missile system is a newly inducted weapon system which is one of the most advanced weapon systems currently in use, which has been indigenously manufactured and designed by Bharat Dynamics and DRDO.” This system is fully configured on mobile platform.”

Captain Shivashish Solanki said this about the Republic-Day parade

Captain Shivashish Solanki defined Republic Day as such a big event which is seen all over the world. He said, “It is a matter of great pride and honor to have got the opportunity to represent my regiment and Corps of Engineers in the Republic Day Parade. The Republic Day parade for the entire nation is one of the many events that is observed across the globe.”

Let us tell you that every year on January 26 i.e. in the Republic Day parade, a glimpse of the country’s strategic power is also seen, under this weapons are displayed. The preparations for the 26 January parade go on long before. Indigenous weapons were also displayed at India Gate amid rehearsals. 

Why is this Republic Day special?

This time the country is celebrating 74th Republic Day. On this occasion, the President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, has been invited as the chief guest. This time’s Republic Day is also special because it is the first opportunity for Draupadi Murmu as President. President Murmu will take the salute of the Republic Day parade. According to the reports, 23 tableaux will be displayed in the Republic Day parade this time. Each tableau will have its own special theme.
