Drones will monitor Amarnath Yatra, 12 thousand jawans will monitor security

Amarnath Yatra Latest Update: Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla on Friday reviewed the security related preparations for the Amarnath Yatra, which is going to start after two years. It was decided in this meeting that at least 12,000 paramilitary forces and hundreds of Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel will protect the Amarnath Yatra with the help of drone cameras.  

Amarnath Yatra is starting from 30th June. This journey could not take place in the year 2021 and 2020 due to corona virus infection. At the same time, in the year 2019, before the abolition of most of the provisions of Article 370 of the Constitution, this yatra was terminated early.

Director General of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Director General of Border Security Force (BSF) Pankaj Singh and other officers attended the meeting in person, while officers of Jammu and Kashmir participated through video conference. The security of the Amarnath Yatra is very important for the government in view of the recent increase in the incidents of killings of people targeted in Jammu and Kashmir.
