Priyadarshan turned to Bollywood in the year 2000 and his very first film ‘Hera Pheri’ took comedy films to a different level in Bollywood. If we talk about this director’s first Hindi film ‘Hera Pheri’, then this film was a remake of his own Malayalam film ‘Ramji Rao Speaking’.

Priyadarshan is close to Mohanlal.
Before making a mark in Hindi films, this director had achieved immense success in Malayalam films. Priyadarshan entered the Malayalam film industry in the 1980s. The credit for introducing the director to films goes to Malayalam actor Mohanlal. Actually, Mohanlal and Priyadarshan were friends since college days.

Was fond of reading and writing since childhood.
During college days, Priyadarshan was very fond of books. The film director’s father was a librarian, due to which he had a special connection with books since childhood. Along with reading, he was also fond of writing. While studying in college, the ‘Hera Pheri’ director started writing short plays and skits for All India Radio. But in those days, this director wanted to make a career in cricket, but due to injury, his dream could never be fulfilled.

Then Priyadarshan got an opportunity to work as an assistant script writer in some films in Chennai with the help of Mohanlal and from here his brilliant career in films started. After setting foot in films, Priyadarshan never looked back.
