Manoj Bajpayee had to be called ‘Charsi Ganjedi’, arrest warrant issued, KRK will eat jail bread?

Arguing with ‘Gulmohar’ starrer Manoj Bajpayee seems to be proving difficult for filmmaker, actor and self-proclaimed film critic Kamal Rashid Khan aka KRK. Indore district court has issued an arrest warrant against KRK. Actor Manoj Bajpayee had filed a defamation case against him. The matter was started by KRK on social media, when he made two objectionable tweets against Manoj Bajpayee in the year 2021.

Indore District Court has issued an arrest warrant against Kamal Rashid Khan alias KRK for not appearing in the defamation case filed by actor Manoj Bajpayee. Manoj Bajpayee’s lawyer Paresh Joshi has given this information.

KRK will have to appear in court on May 10
Manoj Bajpayee has been booked on Twitter for being called ‘Charsi Ganjedi’ by KRK. Advocate Paresh Joshi told that the First Class Judicial Magistrate (JMFC) has issued an arrest warrant against KRK after hearing both the sides on the application of the client. The date of May 10 has been fixed for his appearance in the court.

Two tweets were done on July 26, 2021
Manoj Bajpayee told that in this application, it was said on behalf of his client that KRK is fully aware of the defamation case pending in the district court of Indore, but he is going to appear before the court for allegedly delaying the hearing of the case. Deliberately not attending. Manoj Bajpayee has alleged in the lawsuit filed in the district court that KRK had called him ‘Charsi and Ganjedi’ by tweeting on July 26, 2021 from different Twitter handles with the intention of tarnishing his reputation.

What was requested from the district court
At the same time, on behalf of KRK, JMFC was requested to postpone the proceedings against them in the district court, as a petition has been presented in the Supreme Court on their behalf, in which they are hopeful of getting relief from the stay order.

To whom did KRK sell the Twitter handle?
On December 13, 2022, the Madhya Pradesh High Court dismissed Khan’s plea seeking quashing of the defamation case against him. KRK’s counsel had refuted the above allegation saying that one of these Twitter handle ‘KRK Box Office’ has been sold through ‘Deed of Declaration or Agreement’ to a person named Salim Ahmed on October 22, 2020 and about Manoj Bajpayee KRK was not using this handle at the time of making the alleged tweet.
