India Oscar Winners List: The 95th Academy Awards were held on March 13 at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood. How many times did India get the Oscar Award
The 1957 film ‘Mother India’, directed by Mehboob Khan from India, was the first to receive a nomination at the 30th Academy Awards in the Best International Film category. However, it was defeated by the Italian film Knights of Cabiria (1957) and Mother India missed out on winning the Oscar Award. After this, these are included in the Indian films which got Oscar.

- Satyajit Ray was awarded the Honorary Lifetime Achievement Award at the Oscars in 1992.
- Resul Pookutty received the Oscar Award in 2009 for Best Sound Mixing for ‘Slumdog Millionaire’.
- Gulzar was awarded the Oscar title in the year 2009 for Best Original Song (Jai Ho).
- AR Rahman received an Oscar in the year 2009 for ‘Slum Dog Millionaire’ in the Best Original Score and the second Best Original Song (Jai Ho) category.
- ‘The Elephant Whispers’ by Kartiki Gonsalves and Guneet Monga has won the Oscar Award in the Best Documentary Short Film category in the year 2023.
