Nawazuddin Siddiqui was born on 19 May 1974 in Budhana, Uttar Pradesh. Nawaz, who is celebrating his 49th birthday, has obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. Before joining acting, he worked as a chemist in Vadodara. After this he joined the National School of Drama. Nawaz made his debut in films in the year 1999 through Aamir Khan’s film ‘Sarfarosh’. After this he established himself through films like ‘Black Friday’, ‘Kahaani’, ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, ‘Raman Raghav’, ‘Raees’, ‘Manto’, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’.

Nawaz played mostly serious characters in films, but his romantic style was seen in Sauhail Khan’s film ‘Freaky Ali’. Nawaz shared the screen with Amy Jackson for the first time in the film. Amy was impressed with Nawaz after seeing his work in ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’. After this, Amy got to see Nawaz’s acting closely in ‘Freaky Ali’. Amy expressed her love for Nawaz at the trailer launch of the film. He said, ‘When I saw ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, I fell in love with Nawaz. Since then my love for him started. I was quite nervous about working with Nawaz. Nawaz is a very talented actor. Nawaz standing nearby was shy after listening to Amy’s words.

‘Freaky Ali’ was average on the big screen but Nawaz’s work was liked. Nawaz will soon be seen in the film ‘Jogira Sa Ra Ra’ opposite Neha Sharma, the film will be released on 26 May.
