Farooq Abdullah withdraws his name from opposition’s presidential candidate, know the reason given

Presidential Election 2022: National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah (Farooq Abdullah) Returned his name ‘respectfully’ for consideration as Presidential candidate on behalf of United Opposition announced to take In a jolt to the opposition on Saturday, June 18, he announced that he was withdrawing his nomination as a possible joint opposition candidate for the 2022 presidential election.

 

I withdraw my name from consideration as a possible joint opposition candidate for the President of India. I believe that Jammu & Kashmir is passing through a critical juncture & my efforts are required to help navigate these uncertain times: NC chief Farooq Abdullah

Leaders of 17 parties reached the meeting

Many major parties did not attend this meeting. No one came from TRS, Aam Aadmi Party, BSP and YSR Congress. Apart from this, the Biju Janata Dal led by Naveen Patnaik, YSRCP led by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Shiromani Akali Dal, and AIMIM of Asaduddin Owaisi also stayed away from the meeting.
