Rashid Latif on Team India Captains: Former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif considers it wrong to change captain continuously in the Indian team. He believes that by doing this the Indian team is repeating the same mistake that Pakistan did in the 90s. Latif has also said that the focus of team management is only on changing the captain, while he needs to fix a lot of shortcomings in his team.
‘Focus is only on changing the captain’
Indian team has not been able to find a perfect opener till now, says Rashid Latif. Nor is his middle order stable. They just need a new captain in every series. Not even a single captain is playing consistently for them. KL Rahul is not fit, Rohit was also unfit a few days ago. Virat is mentally unfit. The Indian team management needs him to think more about this. They are changing captains too much. They need a captain like Sourav Ganguly, MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli.’
