G20 Summit: The G-20 summit to be held in Indonesia has ended and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has returned. During this conference, the Indian PM met the Presidents and Prime Ministers of many countries and various topics were discussed. This was the first meeting of the G-20 after the Corona period. Now the command of the next G-20 summit is in the hands of India. That is, in 2023, India will host the G-20. Let us know what was special in this whole conference.
Impact of PM Modi’s statement on Russia-Ukraine war
Prime Minister Narendra Modi echoed the message that Narendra Modi had given during his conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the SCO summit held in September, in the declaration of the G20 summit. In the manifesto, the leaders called for an immediate end to the Ukraine war, saying that “the age of today should not be one of war.” A statement issued at the conclusion of the two-day summit said Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and its wider implications for the world were discussed in detail. It further said that “Peaceful resolution of conflicts, efforts to overcome crises, as well as diplomacy and dialogue are necessary. Today’s era should not be of war.”
Meeting of Biden and Jinping
The meeting of US President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping in this G-20 conference surprised everyone. There was a long meeting between both the leaders and discussions were held on various issues. Countries around the world are seeing this meeting as a new US-China relationship. Let us tell you that for a long time there is tension between America and China. After Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan, both the countries even threatened each other. During this conversation, the issue of Taiwan was also discussed and both the countries took the matter forward to maintain peace. After the meeting, a soft stance of Biden and Jinping was seen.
Missile attack in Poland
Even though strict messages are being given to Russia from all the conferences like G-20, but despite this Putin is not taking the name of stopping. Russia is continuously launching missile attacks on Ukraine and its borders. During the end of the G-20 conference, a big news came out, in which it was told that a missile fell in Przewodo, a village bordering Ukraine in Poland, in which two people died. This incident took place in a major attack from the Russian side in which about 100 missiles were fired at various targets in Ukraine.
Please tell that Poland is a member country of NATO, after which now once again the sound of world war has started to be heard. If the member countries of NATO join it, then the competition of existence between Russia and the western countries of Europe can start. An attack on any NATO member country is considered an attack on all NATO member countries.
Meeting of PM Modi and Jinping
The border dispute is going on between India and China for a long time. Because of which there is bitterness in the relations of both the countries. Due to the intrusion and construction of the Chinese army on LAC, these relations have not been able to improve till now. Meanwhile, there was a meeting between PM Modi and Xi Jinping at the G-20 summit. PM Modi and Jinping met and shook hands during a dinner hosted by Indonesian President Joko Widodo.
There was speculation about a possible bilateral meeting of the two leaders on the sidelines of the G20 summit. But this did not happen. Both the leaders greeted each other at the dinner. In June 2020, 20 Indian soldiers were martyred in the conflict between the armies of the two countries in the Galvan Valley. After that there has been no face-to-face meeting between the two leaders. India has consistently maintained that peace along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) is important for the overall development of bilateral relations. Prime Minister Modi and President Xi came face to face at the annual summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Samarkand in September.
