Rajasthan PG Medical Seat: There is big news for medical students in Rajasthan. The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has approved 162 PG seats for Pali and Ajmer, accepting the demand of the Rajasthan government. For the last several years there was a demand for PG seat. In Rajasthan, 156 seats have been sanctioned for PG for two medical colleges, Pali and 6 additional super specialty seats for Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Ajmer. For the first time, PG seats have been approved in any college run under Rajmes. There is relief news for the government before the budget is presented. Students of Rajasthan will not have to go outside the state to do PG.
5 out of 12 medical colleges started
Medical and Health Minister Parsadi Lal Meena said that as per the announcement of the state government, 5 out of 12 medical colleges have been started so far. He said that medical colleges are being run with full capacity and better management. The result of this is that the proposal for PG seats has got immediate approval from the Central Government. Minister Parsadi Lal Meena said that due to increase in PG seats in the state, the general public will get the benefit of specialist medical services. The state and central government have made a provision of more than Rs 193 crore.
