Both Kohli and Chhetri share a good bond between them and can be seen having conversations on social media websites. The Indian football team skipper and Kohli have also been seen pulling each other legs on several social media platforms.
Talking about Kohli, the right-handed batter has been rested for the ongoing white-ball matches against West Indies and will also not take part in the upcoming tour of Zimbabwe. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has still not announced the Indian squad for the upcoming 2022 Asia Cup, but Kohli’s name is expected to be on the list. The tournament is set to start on August 27 in the United Arab Emirates.
Meanwhile, Kohli has not been able to perform well with the bat lately, but several cricket experts and pundits have backed him to get back to his form soon. Former India cricketer Parthiv Patel has opined that Kohli might be opening the innings alongside Indian skipper Rohit Sharma in the upcoming Asia Cup.
