Gujarat Election: Union Home Minister Amit Shah Gujarat is on a tour of the state in view of the assembly elections. Amit Shah addressed public meetings on Sunday (November 20) in Nijhar village of Tapi and Dediapada town of Narmada. Now on November 21, the Home Minister will address Vijay Sankalp rallies in Gujarat. Amit Shah will address public meetings at 11 am in Khambhalia (Dwarka), 1 pm in Kodinar (Gir Somnath), 3 pm in Mangrol (Junagadh) and 6 pm in Bhuj (Kachchh).

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday (20 November) accused the Congress of exploiting the tribal community for votes. He said that the country got its first tribal President Draupadi Murmu only after Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister. Amit Shah also alleged that poverty had increased under Congress rule, while the party had called for its end.

‘Congress only gave speeches’

Amit Shah said at an election rally in Dediapada in tribal-dominated Narmada district, ‘Congress only gave a speech. He gave the slogan of eradicating poverty, but worked to eliminate the poor. He exploited the tribals by collecting votes. Even after 70 years of independence, not a single tribal brother or sister has become the President of the country.  He said, ‘Narendra Modi she Draupadi Murmu was made the President of the country.’

‘Congress only made people fight’

He said that PM Modi worked towards ending the divide between the rich and the poor. Shah said, ‘When Modi became the prime minister, his first speech was that his government would be for tribals, Dalits, poor and OBCs.’

He said that there is not a single village in the country where there is no electricity. Shah also took a dig at the election campaign highlighting the achievements of the Gujarat Congress when it was in power three decades ago, saying the opposition party had done nothing but increase poverty.
