Jaydev Unadkat returned to Team India: On January 4, 2022, Jaydev Unadkat tweeted with a heavy heart, Dear Red Ball Cricket, please give me one more chance. I’ll make you proud. This is my promise. Then the season of Ranji Trophy 2021-22 was postponed due to Kovid-19. Actually Unadkat started his cricket career with Test. But after playing one test, he was released from Team India. About 12 years are about to pass, since then he was not taken care of in the Test team. During this, he also performed well in domestic cricket. He occasionally got a chance to play white ball cricket for India. After March 2018, Jaydev was not selected for any format in Team India. But now after 12 years, he has got a call for the Indian Test team, that too as a replacement.

Outstanding performance in domestic cricket 

For the past several years, Jaydev Unadkat has been successful in performing brilliantly in domestic cricket. On the first week, he made Saurashtra the champion while captaining in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. In the title match against Maharashtra, he took 1 wicket for 25 runs in 10 overs. Whereas in the semi-final match against Karnataka, he took 4 wickets for 26 runs. He took a total of 19 wickets in 10 matches in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. His best performance of the tournament was 5 for 23 against Himachal Pradesh.
