ABP C-Voter Opinion Polls: Former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel have decided not to contest the elections. Former CM Vijay Rupani, while claiming not to contest the Gujarat elections, had said, ‘I worked as CM for 5 years with everyone’s cooperation. New workers should be given responsibility in these elections. I will not contest elections. I have written a letter to senior leaders informing them about this. We will work together to make the selected candidates win. On the other hand, Nitin Patel has also decided not to contest the elections to be held in Gujarat.
Will BJP be harmed or benefited?
Now the big question is, if these two senior BJP leaders Vijay Rupani and Nitin Patel are not contesting in Gujarat elections, then it will be a loss for BJP. Will happen or will get benefit. To find out the answer to this question, C-Voter has conducted a survey for ABP News.
In this survey people were asked the question, ‘BJP will gain or lose by not contesting elections of Rupani, Nitin Patel?’ The answers to this are surprising. 42 percent of the people of Gujarat feel that BJP will get benefit from this. 38 percent of the people of Gujarat feel that BJP will not be harmed by it, whereas, 20 percent of the people believe that it will not have any effect.
BJP has thrown its full force in the Gujarat elections to be held on December 1 and December 5. BJP has fielded many big leaders including UP CM in Gujarat, CM of Madhya Pradesh, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Union Minister Anurag Thakur and BJP President for election campaign in Gujarat. PM Modi has also started campaigning in Gujarat.
