Sri Lanka Economic Crisis: The situation in India’s neighboring country Sri Lanka is getting worse. Even after the Emergency in the country, the situation has not improved. Inflation is at its peak.  Due to inflation and weak currency in the country, the prices of things used in daily life are touching the sky, in such a situation, the life of common people has become difficult. Alina Fernando, a citizen of Sri Lanka, told ABP, “At present, the people of Sri Lanka are facing many kinds of crises. He told, people do not have money, the prices of all the things that are not earning are increasing continuously. The prices of food items are also touching the sky every day.

Last week the price of lemon was Rs.500. Per kg. However, in terms of Indian currency, it will come to around Rs 125 per kg. At present, one rupee of India is equal to four rupees of Sri Lanka. According to which lemon in India is getting three-four times more expensive than Sri Lanka. The prices of vegetables and fruits in Sri Lanka remain sky high. Potato was available at Rs 240 per kg, onion at Rs 260. The local people told that a few weeks ago the rate at which one kilogram of goods was available is now getting two and a half hundred grams. The cost of an apple was Rs.160.
