IND vs SA: India included Mohammad Siraj in Team India, Bumrah was out due to injury

Mohammed Siraj India vs South Africa T20 Series: T20 series is being played between India and South Africa. India’s fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been out of this series. They are injured. Therefore, fast bowler Mohammad Siraj has been included in the team in his place. Young bowler Siraj has performed brilliantly for India on many occasions. He can also get a chance for the T20 World Cup 2022. BCCI informed about the inclusion of Siraj in the team through Twitter.

Bumrah was running out due to injury. He was working on fitness at the National Cricket Academy. After this he was included in Team India for the T20 series played against Australia. Bumrah played in the second and third T20 matches. But after that he started having problems due to back injury. He could not play in the first T20 match against South Africa. Now Siraj has been given a chance when Bumrah is out.

Mohammed Siraj has performed well in the T20 format. He shone through the Indian Premier League. After this, he made his T20 International debut playing against New Zealand in the year 2017. Siraj has played 5 T20 International matches so far. During this he has taken 5 wickets. Siraj played the last T20 International against Sri Lanka in February 2022. He has taken 13 wickets in 10 matches.

It is worth mentioning that India can also give a chance for Siraj T20 World Cup 2022. In Bumrah’s absence, he has a good chance of joining Team India. But for this, Siraj will have to prove himself in the remaining two T20 matches against South Africa. Arshdeep Singh and Deepak Chahar bowled well for India in the first T20 match against South Africa.
