India got the perfect opener for the 2023 World Cup, Rohit-Shubman’s bat is speaking fiercely

IND vs NZ: These days the Indian team is playing a three ODI series against New Zealand. The last match of the series is being played at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore. The Indian team has already achieved an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series by winning two consecutive matches. The team had earlier played a three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka, in which Team India made a 3-0 clean sweep to the visiting team. In both these series, the opening of the Indian team has been very strong. 

Opening of both fixed in World Cup 

The Indian team is playing the sixth ODI match of 2023 and in all the matches so far, young batsman Shubman Gill has appeared on the opening along with captain Rohit Sharma. In all the matches, the opening pair of both have appeared in excellent rhythm. Both have crossed the 100 mark for the first wicket twice in six matches, scored 50 plus runs thrice and added 33 runs once. Seeing the excellent opening of both, it seems that the Indian team has got the perfect opener for the ODI World Cup 2023.

2nd ODI against Sri Lanka – 33 runs.
3rd ODI against Sri Lanka – 95 runs.
1st ODI against New Zealand- 60 runs.
2nd ODI against New Zealand – 72 runs. 
3rd ODI against New Zealand – 100* runs. 

Shubman Gill has scored a double century

Significantly, this season Shubman Gill has also scored a double century. He scored an inning of 208 runs in 149 balls in the first ODI against New Zealand. A total of 19 fours and 9 sixes were included in Gill’s innings.
