Indian Ocean Mission Sagar: Prime Minister in the Indian Ocean Region Narendra Modi, India has given three saluting-guns and a petrol-boat to Seychelles. This boat and saluting gun has arrived with the Indian Navy’s INS Gharial warship Seychelles. Where the handing-over ceremony was organized on the warship itself.
Seychelles government had sent a proposal to India
On arrival at Port Victoria, the High Commissioner of India, General Dalbir Singh Suhag (Retd) on arrival at Port Victoria, presented the Chief of Defense Forces of Seychelles, Assigned three saluting-guns to Brigadier Michael Roussett with his munitions. The Seychelles government had sent a proposal to India for these guns. The patrol boat was also handed over to the Seychelles Defense Forces (SDF).
India committed to enhance the capability of Seychelles Defense Forces
According to the Navy, when INS Gharial was deployed at Port Victoria, SDF soldiers were also given sea-tests. Recently, Admiral R Hari Kumar, the Navy Chief, also visited Seychelles and now INS Gharial’s arrival at Port Victoria shows that India is fully committed to enhancing the capability of the Seychelles Defense Forces.
