Indian Defense Firms Will Make Israeli Heron Drones And Equipped With Dangerous, Strike Capabilities

IAF’s Project Cheetah: All major import deals have either been stopped or canceled by the central government. The Indian Air Force is now planning to take forward its Project Cheetah under Make in India. Under this, Indian defense manufacturers will equip Israeli Heron drones with strike capabilities. After upgrading under the Cheetah project, Heron will provide accurate and intelligence information about the enemy’s location.

Upgradation under Make in India

Government sources told ANI, "Now, the Indian Air Force is planning to move ahead to upgrade its drones by involving Indian defense firms in defense under Make in India." The IAF is taking the lead in the project that plans to upgrade Israeli drones in the Navy and Army with strike capabilities and better surveillance.
