One of the two newest franchises in IPL 2022, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) has made a strong start to their campaign. They are at the fourth position in the points table with three wins in four league matches. In Match 20 of this edition, LSG will take on Rajasthan Royals (RR) on April 10 at the Wankhede Stadium.

In LSG’s last league fixture against Delhi Capitals (DC), their bowling performance was up to the mark to contain the opposition to a total of 149, which was a below-par score at the DY Patil Stadium. In response, LSG chased down the total in the last over of the innings. Wicketkeeper Quinton De Kock was adjudged as Player of the Match for his knock of 80 off 52 balls.

After a loss against Gujarat Titans (GT) in their first league match, LSG have secured three consecutive victories and will be upbeat ahead of the clash against RR. The bowling and batting units are complementing each other well. In this league match, Australian batter Marcus Stoinis is expected to replace Evin Lewis in the LSG line-up.

Here’s a look at the Lucknow Super Giants predicted XI against RR:

The most consistent run-scorer of the last few editions of the tournament, KL Rahul, has started the 2022 season in fine fashion. Although he could contribute only 24 in the last game against DC, he stitched a partnership of 73 with Quinton de Kock, which formed the base for chasing down the total. In four appearances, Rahul has garnered 132 runs.

On the other hand, the wicket-keeper Quinton de Kock delivered one of his best performances in the tournament’s history to notch up 80 off 52 balls. His innings meant LSG won the match by chasing a total of 150 runs. Both openers will look to continue the same form in this fixture as well.

After the failures of Evin Lewis in the last two fixtures, he can be dropped from the team in the clash against RR. The experienced Aussie batter Marcus Stoinis has completed his quarantine and is expected to be in the Playing 11.

In the recent ODI series against Pakistan, Stoinis contributed 94 runs in three innings for Australia and is in good form leading up to the IPL 2022, and can stitch crucial partnerships along with providing lusty blows at the end as well.

The youngster Ayush Badoni has been terrific for the team in each appearance in the tournament. He started off with a fifty in the first league match against GT. In the last outing for LSG, Badoni hit 10 off three balls to win the match for the team. In four matches, he has garnered a total of 102 runs at a strike rate of 157.

One of the finest match-winners for MI in the last few editions, Krunal Pandya has done well for LSG in their debut IPL campaign. In four appearances, Krunal has contributed 46 runs and scalped three wickets, while remaining unbeaten on 19 off 14 balls to seal the victory for the team in the last league match against DC.

The West Indies Test captain, Jason Holder marked his presence in LSG’s third league match of the tournament. He made an immediate impact by finishing with the figures of 3/34 off four overs. He was average with 0/30 off his full quota of four overs in the last match though.
