Jharkhand News: Five Maoists arrested in Chatra and Gumla, many weapons and mobiles recovered

Jharkhand: Jharkhand Police has arrested five hardcore Maoists in separate operations in Gumla and Chatra districts. Weapons and many mobiles have been recovered from them. According to the police, Naxalites were planning criminal incidents at both the places. Prem Lohra, Basant Lohra and Kuldeep Kerketta of the banned Naxalite organization PLFI were arrested in a raid conducted in Basia police station area of ​​Gumla district. A pistol, some cartridges and 8 mobile phones have been recovered from them. He was arrested by a team headed by the in-charge of Basia police station.

Police arrested two members of TSPC
Two members of a Naxalite organization called Third Conference Presentation Committee (TSPC) were arrested in Chatra district with a pistol and some mobile phones. Gaya, when he was preparing for illegal recovery from transporters and traders in Piparwar Coal Belt. A team led by Tandwa’s SDPO Shambhu Kumar Singh nabbed him at Benti village on Sunday night. The arrested people have been identified as Vicky Ganjhu, Sunil Ganjhu alias Chandu Ganjhu. Cases of violence and Arms Act were registered against them in Khalari and Piparwar police stations.

Earlier, police raided Ranchi’s Tonko village and arrested PLFI militant and area commander Sonu Manjhi & his accomplice Vasu Kandulna carrying a reward of Rs 2 lakh. The police had received secret information about the Naxalites, after which a raid was carried out by forming a team. The police recovered 2 pistols during the raid.

Sonu came out of jail on bail
The family members said that Sonu Manjhi had come out on bail a few months back from Khunti jail and was living in Rania area. Manjhi was arrested by the police when he had come to his parents’ house in Tonko with his accomplice Vasu Kandulna.
