Gujarat Lumpy Skin Disease: In 17 out of 33 districts of Gujarat so far, more than 1,200 cattle ‘Lumpy’ Died due to skin disease. Officials said on Sunday that the state government has increased the pace of survey, treatment and vaccination to check the spread of the disease and has also banned the holding of cattle fairs. State Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Minister Raghavji Patel said that 1,240 cattle have died till Saturday due to this infectious disease. He said that 5.74 lakh animals have been vaccinated to prevent the disease.
