Bhagat Singh Koshyari: Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari has expressed his desire to resign from his post and lead a retired life, an official said. During his visit to Mumbai last week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, demanding that he spend the rest of his life in reading, writing and other leisure activities.

It was an absolute honor and privilege for me to serve as a Rajya Sevak or Governor of a great state like Maharashtra, the land of saints, social reformers and brave fighters. I can never forget the love and affection I have received from the people of Maharashtra during the last 3 years. During the recent visit of the Prime Minister to Mumbai, I conveyed to him my desire to be relieved of all political responsibilities and to spend the rest of my life in reading, writing and other activities. He said that he has always received love and affection from the PM, and hoped that it would continue.
