Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Processor : Qualcomm has introduced the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor at its annual Snapdragon Tech Summit. This is an upgraded version of last year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. It is claimed that it is 40 percent more power efficient than the old model. It is capable of delivering real-time ray-tracing for gaming and supports INT4 and Wi-Fi 7. Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 comes with Qualcomm AI Engine. It is a better hexagon processor for AI and machine learning capabilities. It is based on 4nm process technology, which is the same process used in Apple’s A16 Bionic chip. Qualcomm says the AI unit on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 features multi-language translation and advanced AI camera features.
