Chinese citizens in Pakistan: More than 1,000 Chinese citizens living in Islamabad will have to inform the police about their movement. This was claimed in a media report. This decision has been taken in view of the increasing number of attacks targeting Chinese civilians in Pakistan.

Chinese citizens linked to companies, businesses, projects
More than 1,000 Chinese nationals are involved in more than three dozen projects, companies and businesses in the federal capital, officials said. He said Chinese nationals associated with the multi-million dollar China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project were provided security cover by security forces and paramilitary forces.

Cameras to be installed around the homes of Chinese citizens
The officials said that CCTV cameras will be installed in the houses of Chinese citizens as well as on the roads leading to their homes.  Officials said the DIG operations were asked to visit the residential areas where Chinese nationals are staying and prepare a security audit report to spot lapses in security. He said that a desk is also being set up in the Safe City and Police Facilitation. The meeting was called in the wake of increasing attacks targeting Chinese citizens in the country.
